Darion
was born in Manhattan and currently resides on Long Island, New York.
She began singing before she was able to walk and by the age of two,
she would
stand on the kitchen counter and sing Christmas carols to
friends and family members.
She relied on her passion for music to help
develop her vocal skills. Her friends call her
* The Queen Of Copy*,
she spent hours every day mastering the vocals of many legendary
divas.
Barbara
Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, and Diana Ross
were her
childhood idols. Once in her teens she enjoyed mastering the
sounds of Chaka Khan,
Whitney Houston, Taylor Dayne and Pat Benatar.
During the 90*s she concentrated on
superstars such as Mariah Carey,
Toni Braxton, and Celine Dion. Although she loves all her
idols she was
created a sound all her own.
Participating in band, chorus, and musical theater expanded her training. As a journalism major,
she was able to explore her
skills in creative writing that has contributed to her development as a songwriter.
With
killer vocals, sheer sensuality and emotion, Darion creates her own
flavor of R&B music. From
sultry ballads to high-energy dance
anthems, she can cross all age and racial barriers. Her rare artistry
is beyond her years. This future star truly has music seeping from her
pores with her god given gifts.
